Why Use Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring both your password and a second verification method.
- Protects against password theft
- Prevents unauthorised access even if password is compromised
- Required for admin and sensitive operations
- Industry best practice for security
Setting Up 2FA
- 1Navigate to Account Settings > Security
- 2Click 'Enable Two-Factor Authentication'
- 3Choose your preferred method (app or SMS)
- 4Scan the QR code or enter the setup key
- 5Enter the verification code to confirm
- 6Save your backup codes securely
Pro Tip
We recommend using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy for the most secure experience.
Recovery Options
If you lose access to your 2FA device:
- Use one of your backup codes (each code works once)
- Contact support with identity verification
- Admin users can reset 2FA for team members
Important
Store your backup codes securely. They are the only way to recover your account if you lose your 2FA device.
